I have found a few goodies on hill sides but I usually do not actively seek those sites out. Maybe I should pay more attention and detect them. Congratulations on your finds A2coins.

Hey A2! Hillsides are where it's at! Two reasons...one you just mentioned it...the other is that it seems people skip them because of the difficulty of searching them.

I love my hillsides!

Always liked hills. We found a less tiring way to do them years ago...start at top and move downhill backwards. Much easier pulling the machine than pushing it...or trying to walk at a 30° angle. Walk back up, move over 3-4 feet and repeat. 😁

These hills are steep good idea. I would say most of my finds are from hills gold rings bracelets a platinum ring many watches and tons of silver. My thought is when people lose coins isn't when there walking on flat ground there in the bottom of there pocket. I live in Ann Arbor where the U of M School is. The town was founded in 1826 ish so its not real old but there are many many hills the college kids would go down, you can see old trails all over The good part is many coin spills, doesn't hurt that from day one they were drinking and its home of the Hash bash. which I was a proud member of at one time I wasn't always an upstanding citizen I fell a lot and they did too lol HH

Yep...hills are great, A2. Our best silver "mine" ever was a hill on the edge of a 50's-era grade school. My Mentor and I dug up over a hundred silvers each there back in the 80's. The hill that kept on giving. 😁
