This is not my first detector but it is my first time detecting under these condition's. I am in noth east oklahoma and the soil here is very very rocky. The ground grab seem's to work fine and balance's out well but I got a reading on a quarter the first time out and it indicated it was three inches under ground, after digging the three inches and finding nothing I got the same reading at the same three inches. It was the only reading with in a square foot area so i continued digging. After digging in very rocky ground (hard digging) I still get the same reading.( over a foot deep) It is not a used detector and is brand new, so what is wrong here? Any one ever have similiar problem's. Maybe just a bad machine straight out of the box, but hopefully not. Shipping waiting and reshipping would be a good portion of my summer down the tubes. What would you recommend I do. Is it just the wrong machine for this type of soil or the detector or the user? Thank you for your time and happy digging........ Danny
