Today I had a very short hunt at my father's late 1800s house. It started off with the usual pull tab and a few random small pieces of metal. Then I got a wheatie (probably around number 30 from his yard) and as soon as I started swinging again I got another tone which was very deep. I dug and dug and finally pulled out this. An excelsior shoe for boys token. Supposedly when a boyscout bought a pair of excelsior shoes they received one of these. Upon further research I found if the scout master got all of the boys to buy their shoes he received a silver one. This one isn't silver but still a great find!
