✅ SOLVED Brass acorn?

Hey guys found this last week, looks old and is about 1-1/2" across. Maybe acorn at the bottom and scored 4 times on the back (flat back)

It is the broken-off front end of a flintlock musket trigger-guard, most probably from sometime in the 1700s, but perhaps a bit later.
