Just wondering if anyone has any idea what this might be. Found roughly 6 inches down in a farm field. Has a green patina and seems to be somewhat crudely made, so I'm guessing it has at least some age to it. It has two protrusions on the back which I'm assuming were the base of some sort of fastener. Thanks.

Agreed = most likely a broach of some sort

1820s - 40s period from the looks of the pattern

It reminds me of a bridle rosette.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that is an English Tudor Rose motif? If it is, then I would date that more in the mid-late 1700's.
