These were found in locations with Civil War and modern artifacts. I have seen similar pieces listed for sale as Civil War relics, but I haven't been able to verify this and I have my doubts. Does anyone know what they are and what era they are from? Thanks.

Here is another one. The pic caption says: Recovered this brass catch (originally rivited to a strap), a fly button, and a later brass victorian era pin in a Civil War camp in Maryland during December, 2014.

Recovered with the Victorian pin tells me it could be post-CW. Many of the old CW camps were revisited by veterans and their families in late 19th C. There was a great nostalgia for the Civil War at that time.

They are attached to a strap and the strap is attached to a bag. I have pictures of that bag somewhere on my old computer tower. I forget the name of the bag but it has been posted here at TN but I dont know how to search for it.
