I went back to my civil war camp and found this solid brass handle. I've found spigot handles before that they usually have 2 handles on opposite ends. This one just has one handle. I wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else has found a similar looking handle and might know what it could've been used for. Thanks.

Probably part of a friction lock for some sort of tool (like you might see to lock a drill press to a specific working height). ?
