Hi All,

I found this today while beach combing off the coast of NC and would appreciate any input on its origins or intended use?

Super cool... you just found a bronze ship spike.

Obviously from a shipwreck.

Very cool, how big is it? Did you find it in the dry or wet sand? Any chance you found it in the OBX?

It's a 'work of art' (read: of greater value) if you leave it embedded within the wood.
Great find !!
Don.....

Definitely agreed.

Do not remove / separate from the wood... the wood is the key for later POSSIBLE determination of age and origin etc.
