Found these at a site that is mostly late 18th to early 19th century. The barbs on the back seem like they would be for attaching to leather, but there was iron rust crusted on pars of them, when they came out of the ground, and the circular piece was attached to one of the larger pieces with rust.

Any idea what they are?

Hard to tell from the picture, would help if you could post a pic of these pieces cleaned up. :icon_scratch:
But I would have to agree with HuntinDog... furniture related hardware.

Look to be 1st quarter 19thc.

Thanks for the replies. After looking around, I have found similar embellishments on period furniture. I think that's it.
