Brass with locomotive engine and stars

Any idea what this is? It's a train on the top and bottom with a star on each side. The object is the same size as a modern dime.

yeah that's sure what it looks like. It was my first thought also, but I've never seen one with trains, but that picture shows me trains and the stars like the bull dog button in the image.
