So I stopped by my pickup bank and the only coins I deal with there are CWRs as they never order coins. This time she tells me she accidentally ordered $900 in pennies trying to order $900 in single notes. I am reluctant to get Brinks penny boxes because the last one I searched had absolutely no copper cents or keepers of any kind. To appease her for how nice she is to me, I decide to take one box of Brinks off her hands and spend some time this weekend going through it.

Well like I suspected, there were no copper enders to be seen but I reluctantly started searching. One roll and no copper, two rolls and no copper, and so on for the first five rolls. I'm really wanting to just haul the rest of the box back tomorrow and tell her they sucked when all of a sudden on the sixth roll I find my first copper penny so far in the box...a 1919 wheatie!

I was pretty shocked and decided to let the box sit for one more night before I finish the rolls. Maybe some more wheaties or maybe an Indian will appear in the sea of zinc.

Indians did know how to swim but i dunno bout all that zinc! 1919 of the older ones i find it the most but i do love finding anything before 40. the wear is similar most of the time and if i see the back first i get all excited:)

Try Nickels man.... Couldn't hurt. If you have copper cullers I'd say to heck with pennies

Go through machine rolled penny's. I have found 20 wheatie's and at least half of the coins are copper!I only went through 20 rolls!
but that penny older than what I found
