Dug this up today at the farm about 20 yards from where I found the 1700's felling axe
Also found flat button,buckle and rein guide

Got a nice hickory 36" Offset broad axe handle to mount for display purposes only

That is a cool blade or head if that's the correct term

If you have any dark spots on the metal you should needle them with a dremel diamond bit otherwise they will flake on you later on. I ended up buying a needler for my air compressor and use that to knock the scabs loose that resist the electrolysis.
