Broad Strike Clad Kennedy Half?

[The_EE]

I found this a could weeks ago and am finally getting around to asking.

[l.cutler]

I don't think it is a broadstrike. Is there reeding on the edge? Broadstrikes are struck without a collar and would not have any reeding.

[The_EE]

Yes, there is reeding to the edge. What would cause it to do that then?

[l.cutler]

I can't really say, I wonder if it could be from a worn die, or sometimes counting or rolling machines damage coins in the process.

It's a kind of die wear. No added value.
