I literally just got home... I can see that the Indian Head is 1892 I have no idea what the holed one is yet.
... Saltwater sure is tough on coins

Without even looking closely at the legend it immediately strikes me as Potosi or possibly Lima mint cobb most likely an Atocha recovery which sank in 1622 so that coin would have been minted before that. Possibly during the reign of Philip the second .( if its real) a lot of those are cast in 925 silver and put in a gold bezel for jewelry as replicas and sold as such

Gator if it is real. Oh man. You got one sweet find. I bet you it is. Dude made a charm out of it and lost it while searching for other treasures.
 
I hope it is too for his sake... I would be afraid to get my hopes up personally before getting it tested.
I'm not going to say what my assumption is at this point I'll just wish him luck
