Yesterday I looked for over 5 hours in three fields. The first field I went to was a field that on February 2 I found this piece of s stone pipe.

I was very excited when I saw a small piece of this.

This is what it looks like pieced together.

It still has missing pieces, but who knows. Maybe I'll find more of it int the future.

These were also found in the same field.

These came from the other two fields.

It was a good day!

It looks like the artifacts you show here are all on the larger size. Is there smaller ones there?

Awesome pipe man!! That is epic!!

That's a great day there! Love that pipe!

Do you think they actually smoked from that pipe? It's bigger than the glass pieces I have seen at frat. houses. I think that is a heck of a find, broken or not. It should be on the banner list. However, I do not think its an actual smoking pipe. I think it's a cloud blower used in ceremonies. Any one else think that is plausible?

I have noticed that also. The arrowheads and even scrapers here where I hunt are probably at least half the size if not smaller. Im guessing the Indians here were smaller in size? What was the average size for ancient Indian anyway?

There was no limit on the amount of material available for making good tools or points here in Southwest Georgia where Americus hunts. The local river is called the "Flint" and for good reason. When it is low, you walk over material laying everywhere. So, I think that when they made something there was no concern about about managing what materials were available. Maybe others in other regions away from here such as North Georgia did not have the abundance of flint available to them like here. JMO.

I would call the three points I am holding in my hand in the first picture after those of the pipe small.

GaRebel - When I lived in Western Kentucky I noticed the same thing. There are tons of large, high quality flint sources for the artifacts are large and often large broken pieces are pitched instead of reworked.

Americus - I had to come back and see the pipe again. Amazing.
