Hi i found this on one of my club digs on the 29.9.13 sunday flat axe head 2000bc enjoy

Fantastic find. Bronze age artifact. That has been in the ground a long time and looks fantastic. It will make a very nice center piece. One reason I like artifacts is you can go back thousands of years to find the work of man.

Very nice, congratulations! 2100-700 BC in the Bronze Age in England to be around, so it is not clear that 2000 years BC. Sometime made ​​between 2100 and 700 BC.

From memory that flat axe is like the 'mark I' of axe heads & the earliest of its type produced in the UK.:occasion14:

My very good friend mark ludwig artefacts expert from cardif museum put the flat axe a 2000 bc and the looped palstave at 1500 bc . the flat axe is early coz of the shape of the flange . Many thanks to mark as he drives three hours each way to collect mine and other members from my forum finds for recording great bloke cheers
