Bronze Age discovery a 3000-year-old community has been unearthed...

Question? How much leaf litter over what period of time makes a new layer of dirt? Then how many years of this buildup will it take to cover some things like this? Don't get me wrong this is cool but why are they just finding this now? We double our population all the time and no one stumbled on it earlier. That is what gets me thinking

The fens are a old swamp. Mainly a sandy loam. Not a lot of leaves from trees, but a grass! What I amazing is the quality of the bronze castings.
