Bronze or copper nail

I have got this copper nail? After my dad. I heard when I was little that it came from an old ship. But it is remade into a letter opener
Do you know how old it can be? It looks handmade and is about 25 cm long.

Jag tror att dom gjorde om brevsprättaren för ca 40 - 50 år sedan men själva original spiken är före 1800-tal. På 1800-talet gjordes spikar i rektangulär form och före 1800-tal så gjordes dom i fyrkantig form. Din är handgjord och kan vara ifrån början av 1400-tal till slutet av 1700-tal.

For the curious non-Swedish speakers, oline translator says: I believe that they converted letter spattering cleanfor approximately 40 - 50 years since but the actualoriginals the nail is before nineteenth century.On19th century, nails were done in rectangular mouldand before nineteenth century so done judgementin square mould.Yours are hand done and can lastfrom beginning of 1400-tal to the end of 1700-tal.

very nice...on the Pacific coast, native peoples would take such ships spikes and make knives out of them very similar to what you have.
