Just out of curiosity, what did you use to preserve your iron finds? (Nice hatchet head by the way) Is that epoxy?

Too bad it had to end.You guys had a great five days together.
Outstanding relic and coin finds.That 1858 Flying Eagle tops them all.
You added some great buckels to your collection to.
It's too bad we all have to work for a living. :)

Knowing the size of ox shoes, that is a very neat little hatchet head.
 

Awwww, Lance, It's over already?? You got a lot of nice buckles and a great flying eagle cent. :)

Before you know it....it will be time for the spring hunt! Looking forward to it! ;)
 

Lance...Congrats on a great 5 days..not only did you get great finds, but got to enjoy doing so while in the company of family....doesn;t get any better than that...:):) My 3 yr. old daughter and 2 year old son "help" me now while I hunt( nice to see someone get all excited over pulltabs and other junk...:):) ), can;t wait till they are old enough to swing their own detectors...:):)

I am back home now and working as normal. Although I haven't written anything, I have just had a lot of fun digging and detecting. I just want to say thank you to all of you who had enough interest to look and enjoy the hunt with us. I look foreward to seeing everything that you all find in the future. Rick
