Type of button. Is the measurement is in cm?

If those are cm on the tape measure, it looks like a three inch across button!

I am not well versed in armor, but that is what these appear to be to me. Look like elbow, knee, shoulder guards that are wired, lashed or however attached along with many other parts, to make a Roman era shirt of armor. But doesnt look Roman .Maybe from one of the Germanic tribes that fought and finally destroyed the empire that was Rome!

Thats blarney and I'm full of xxxx! but seriously they look like parts of armor to me.

They could be Ancient shield bosses, the attachment on the back could have been were they held the shield, that's if it's big enough for a hand. The measurement looks to be in inches.
