Went out for a quick hunt on Sunday at a site that has produced well in the past. Only one good find this trip, and it is a bucket list coin for me. I’ve found 4 Walker and 1 Kennedy Silver halves, but never a Barber, yeah finally!

Also found what seems like a grave in what would have been the backyard of the farmhouse. I’m thinking maybe it is a beloved pet or farm animal?

Then made it out for a rare after work hunt and met up with Steve of PA at a an old farmstead in the park woods nearby. We found a few Barber dimes and IHPs, so not a bad quick hunt.
Here is a pic of a nice greenie IHP.

Here are the coins.

An interesting note, the 1888 IHP was stuck to the 1909 Wheat in the hole.
Here are the relics.

Center top is the spout from the powder flask I dug on Saturday.

It was about 5’ away from where the flask pieces where found.

The wick adjuster didn’t have a patent date, but thought it was cool nonetheless.

Good luck out there!
