Hello Tnet,

Found this buckle today alongside some other items from the18 til 20th ct. Its made of bronze/copper. Appears to have some decoration on the sides. Anybody who knows a time period or its use ?

Nice find. I don’t know enough about buckles but love to find them. Could it be horse related?

If that was found on the East Coast of the US, I would say mid 1800’s. With the slight design and found in NL, not sure. Probably horse tack. Congrats!

At first glance thought it would be something in de 1800’s, but i’ve never seen those small decorations on these kinds before.
