Anyone have a idea what type of buckle this is ? And maybe it’s age? found it at a church built 1896/97 thanks !!

Looks like a horse bridle buckle to me. Similar horse tack buckles in many sizes are listed in the 1900 sears catalog.

Thanks I found it at a old church I did find a horse shoe near it lol thanks agian
