Only identifiable find of the day. Under a loupe I can make out -17. I know diddly squat about ammunition. Was found on a lot where an old homesite once stood. If anyone has any insight to offer please share. Thanks for viewing! IMG_0515.webp

The only .17 cartridges I know of are necked down at the end. Yours appears to have the neck broken off at the shoulder. There is an R as well.
Probably Ruger or Remington.

Thanks BF didn’t even catch that. I think it’s Remington .17 caliber, used for small game. Came out in 72. Thanks again!
