Howdy folks,

I am hoping someone could shed some light on the age range of this pistol bullet. I dug two type III William's cleaners and three 3 ringers in the same area yesterday. It was found pretty deep around a creek bank. I know the moisture can keep them a grayish color. Civil war period? Thanks guys

We need some precise measurements to give you a correct ID but I would say it is civil war period and probably a pistol round.

Thanks, I didnt notice any crimp Mark's inside of the ring and found several civil war bullets at this site, but there were also other modern bullets as well. That's why I set this one to the side until I got an i.d. on it. I've yet to pull a civil war pistol round. I guess I'll know one when I get one.
