Bullet ID- old or modern?

Measures .360" across base, .680" long, weighs 148+grains. I count 8 rifling lands ( it is clearly fired) which appear equal width about .090". Found in area where CW relics have been found but clearly could be modern. Idea on cartridge/weapon used?

Looks to be a 38 cal slug, or known as 38 S&W, late 1800's to early 1900's seems about right, this is still produced with appox same weight but flat base , someone with more firearms smarts may even be able to tell you the type of weapon that fired it based on the lands and grooves .

Thanks, 38 it is. I was fooled by the bullet (vs case) diameter designation.
