Thx, was a little different. The tree its self was molded and crumpled in my hands, so i just use pin-pointer going through it. I found a square nail stuck deep in wood at the same time.(maybe holding a target up). Ended up being four lead in 4 different chunks of wood. was fun!
Thanks for looking..

Anytime chef...Ive only touched about 2% of it, A lot of tight ground.
Haven't found any silver in the area. Yet, if the musket ball was there im sure there is more great things
runs along a waterfront, inlet too Alabama river.

Excellent find!
Congrats,

Good find. I've got one from a log, too. Fun.
Strangest one having to do with a tree was about 3 years ago. Was digging down, under the roots of a big tree.
Kept chasing a signal. Finally, the coin fell out into my hand.....it had been stuck up in the roots of the tree.
I thought it was deeper......just never know.
Lots of good hunts in 2012, THer.
