Bullet, old or modern?

Found on a sand trail near the river. I've been to a lot of bullet websites and can't determinre if it's old or modern. It's a two ringer, flat base, about .45 caliber.

Looks modern to me. I could not find it in any CW bullet ID books or web sites. This site has about every CW bullet I could not find a match.

I do reloading and bullet casting (tho Iam no expert on old bullets) but this one looks modern to me,,,,,the rings are to crisp,to perfect.

That's a double lube groove roundnose flat point meant for the .45 Colt revolver. Probably 255 grains as this is the standard weight. This revolver round was originally loaded with a crimp on the mouth of the brass cartridge but no specific "crimp groove" on the bullet. Those rings are for lubricant.

I load a ton of these bullets for my .45 Colt's and Ruger Vaquero's. I believe this particular bullet is out of a old Lyman mold.
