Here is a shelf I made for my battle bullets. Bullets from Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Petersburg, Sharpsburg and the Wilderness are already on here. In the coming weeks, bullets from Shiloh, Gettysburg and Atlanta will be added.

I built it out of scrap wood, cement and ground foam, and yes, it's very heavy. :laughing7:

If you have any bullets from battlefields before NPS protection, or bullets found surrounding battlefields, let me know! I'm always looking for more, though my wallet begs me to stop.:laughing9:

That's really cool!

Impressive collection, and display! Awesome to have bullets from so many different important battles of the war.

My bullets are my pride and joy! I love em'.

Great job, but I got a feeling you're gonna need a bigger shelf.....at least I hope so:thumbsup:

I'm making mini shelves now for more of my special things.

Here is one I just completed for the relics I found in my front yard.

Battlefield relics, such as bullets, have always been my favorite relics. Wish I could have experienced being the first person to hunt a battlefield just to see what it must have been like hunting a virgin battlefield, but alas I was not born yet and those days are gone forever.

Very nice display stands. They remind me of my father's model railroad layout. Just curious if that's one of your other hobbies?

It is actually. I'm not very good at it, but through time it has gotten better.

From what I've heard, the early relic hunters never got a break. Constantly digging fired bullets, shrapnel etc. Not so many buttons and plates as campsites though.

Perhaps I will have enough bullets from Gettysburg to warrant their own shelf. I just need a few more from Atlanta and other related spots to have a good Western Theater shelf.

Here is one of my strange of different questions ..... Are the Bullets glued or just sitting on the cool displays you have made.?

Sitting. I never alter anything historical.

I'm not sure what I'll do with my Atlanta bullets. A few more, and I'll have enough to warrant their own shelf. Same with Gettysburg. Chancellorsville and the Wilderness are full up.

A very good reply & tho I started in 1997 & there were no long term 'War' camps in my area. 'Dalton Ga , or Chattanooga would be the closest winter camps to me.

Here outside of the small camps & similar areas, buttons & plates are few & far between.

Even in 1997 it seems relics were FAR! more abundant than now.

I love the set-up you made , it honors those who fought in the War.

P.S.
Ill be on the look -out for other pieces / Minnie's for your display.
Davers

Just like me.

"As original as possible".
