Bullets & Shells, oh Yea a Smiley Face !

Got out this weekend for a few hours. Decided to go off the beaten path up in the woods. Found several 9 mm rounds bout 3-4 inches deep all around 2 or 3 ft area. Somebody's target practice! Found another Indian button down in the field below close to where you see me. The odd bullet looks to be steel jacketed, but unusual for a 45 cal. Some 12 ga caps and some flattened bullets.

The smiley face is in (or on) a memorial penny, can't make out the date. Found this by my driveway, all the other stuff on my farm.

Smiley Face? ummm

Nice 300D you have there. Looks like an after hunt "refreshment" on the bumper. ;) Good haul!

Re: Bullets & Shells, oh Yea a Smiley Face !

Hey all,

Thanks for the replys!

Mona, No I haven't posted in the mug shots yet, I'm afraid I might break my camera.

Gypsy, thanks for looking. I actual did dig this car out of a junkyard just before going to the scrap yard, I painted it and alittle motor work. Been driven it for 6 years w/ no problems.( knock on wood)

Brnn53, thanks for the compliment on the car, it's a 300cd turbo and runs great. It was rough as a cob when I bought it from the junkyard. Yea, I enjoy endulging the drink after a good hunt, this is about the only time I take a break from work. I work 50-60 hrs on real job, then bout 20hrs week on the farm on my vinyard.

Oh, thanks Beep for noticing the property, it'l look really nice in another month. it's my favorite place to detect, I could detect here naked If I wanted to ( nobody within a mile ).

Interesting finds. You would think that if someone went through all the trouble to make the smiley face they would be careful not to loose it.
Indian button....what would that be for?
