Button and Token Help Please!

Found both of these at an 1885 homesite in North Texas yesterday. The token is pretty cool. I have never seen one with punches in it like this one. Someone on here once helped me ID a token by somehow pulling up early Denison, Texas directories. Can anyone point me in the right direction

The second item is a button that reads "Mo.P.". The back reads "Hoole Mfg. Co.46. Bond St. N.Y." Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume that you are in Denison or near there.... did that area ever have motorcycle police? that's what comes to mind when I look at your button... motorcycle police, perhaps 1930's or 40's

Your "Mo.P." button is most likely a Police button. About its "Hoole Mfg. Co." backmark... that company was in business under that name from 1883 until 1891, when it was absorbed by another company.

Yep, I'm in the Denison area. A lot of history here.

I think the Mo P button is for Missouri Pacific Railroad. I saw the Subterraean thought that might be it in to your Today's Finds thread. See this post where PBK helps confirm the ID of of a button of the same design:

It is indeed, and dates from the 1880's.

As for the token .... It was difficult to find the "Barradall" individual but I think I did and this is, so far, the only place I found him in Denison, TX. In the 1900 census there is this and his occupation is listed as "Druggist"-

[W D Bandel]
Age: 52
Birth Date: Apr 1848
Birthplace: Virginia
Home in 1900: Denison Ward 4, Grayson, Texas
Race: White
Gender: Male
Relation to Head of House: Boarder
Marital Status: Single
Father's Birthplace: Virginia
Mother's Birthplace: Virginia

There is a 1901 Denison Directory online at Ancestry as well as a few other years but I haven't been able to find him listed in any of them. The 1901 Directory does have this listing whom I believe is probably your "Bailey". The next earliest directory is 1896 and Barradall is not listed there so I would think your token dates somewhere circa 1896 -1901.

eta- I think this is the Barradall on your token - he died in 1906

I hope this link still works. My ggrandfather was Norborne Barradall , M.D. and that is from his pharmacy. He along with his brother C.W. Barradall were pharmacist. I have a lot of info on both of them and can prove my claim. Do you ever release items to the next of kin? I would really love to have that as part of my family momento collection.
