Cast leg from great seal james trenchand used to live by me and either has a shop or had to dump a ton of stuff on my property . In one really tight area I found a huge amount of weird stuff that ties to him. Anyone recognize the button?

To me it looks like an early cast 1 piece button. The shank was cast as part of the button. It was either poured with white metal; pewter or lead or yellow metal; brass. Pewter flakes and falls apart fairly easy after being in the ground, so I think yours may be lead. It's a nice early button from the late 1700s to the early 1800s.
However this is just my opinion and some one else here may have a different one.
