I was hoping for some info as to the age of this button. The back is very coroded so no name. The quarter is just for size it is slightly smaller than the quarter.

I think 19th century.

I don't think it is naval, this was a popular fashion item copying the Royal Navy buttons. Not 100% on this one so could be wrong.
