I finally got a decent camera so I can post some finds, and I figured out how to resize them for easier viewing. Hope these resized ones will be easier on the eyes. I have been browsing TN for awhile now and think its Just great. I found this button last weekend in a park that has been hit hard over the decades but always seem to find a goodie. This button has stumped me. Its a flat button with a nice eagle on the back and the front appears to be plain. I cant make out the makers mark and where the shank is broken off there appears to be a sheild. Any help would be great. lkjnmm.jpg IMG_0053 (Medium).JPG lkjnmm.jpg

I agree that it looks promising but I cant help with the ID. Someone here will ID it quickly. Interesting that the eagle appears to have been on the back of the button.

Re: Button ID help. My first post

The Eagle design looks super old , with my non existent button knowledge I would guess the minting of this button to be late 1700s to early 1800s ;D
