If you noticed the wings on this are out stretched way more than most. TBH I have not found a clear example of this version of a CW button, So that's what got us thinking possible pre-war button.

Looks like the early Scovills/ Waterbury 2 piece 1830-40. Earlier if its a one piece button. Just a guess without the back mark.

Looks like the early Scovills/ Waterbury 2 piece 1830-40. Earlier if its a one piece button. Just a guess without the back mark.
It's a two piece and we can't make out the back mark. But with the wings we were thinking pre-war or we are also being told that by the end or the war they were using old surplus in many cases for replacement buttons.
