U.S. Army "Great Seal" general service button, c. 1902-present.

Maker is City Button Works (Erlanger & Liebmann), New York, NY, 1877-1955.

Just found 9 buttons identical to those described above...

All are in almost new condition...

Anybody know what the current value is?

Individually Great Seal buttons are sold on eBay from $1- $5. They can be purchased much cheaper in bulk especially the common backmarks.
Some rare backmarks may have $5 value but are not very collectible at this time but may be in the future.

Here is an ongoing list I have accumulated on US Army Great Seal button backmarks, 1902-present. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,212590.0.html

These are the the larger (1-1/8") size buttons which I suspect are WWI...belonged to wifes grandfather who serves during the Great War.

Retirement will need to wait. :laughing7:

There are several different sizes but they are all priced about the same. I purchased 300 of the old assorted larger buttons for under 20 bucks on eBay. You would be better off keeping them in the family for display.
