Buttons, bullets and a 18k brass ring!

Got out today and searched a mid to late 1800s site that I've hunted for several years, no coins this time but I did recover a nice older ring with some kind of stone or glass marked 18k but rang up as a 82 on my xpd2 , this is the 3rd ring that I've found that's marked 18k but plated brass!!
