O.k guys heres the lowdown. The free campsite was to good to be true. The husband of the lady who offered up the land has said no. I did not know she hadn't discussed it with him. I work with her several days a week and had to just zip it and let it go even though I am kinda bent that she wasn't clearer with me. I even went to the place and she walked me around. I have contacted a really nice campground in Lotus it is nice available and on the river. Heres the hitch and the main thing I wanted to avoid. A deposit its $12.00 a person on Friday, Saturday, and $9.00 on Sunday. The lady I spoke with said to reserve a group spot for around 20 people we would need to pay a deposit based on at east 10 people and she would basically do this in 10 person increments as the number went up. If that makes since. The problem is who is coming Friday though Monday or just Saturday night or whatever....Thats why I wanted to avoid a campground. Basically to reserve the spot were talking $330.00 before setting foot on the ground and I have to pay up front and hope to recoup. I hope you guys understand my hesitation on that. I can reserve it but, am learey to do so. She said I would have until this weekend to let her know. I am gonna physically go there today and see if maybe I can just have guys contact them personally with their dates and make reservations individually, and hopefully they can set us up us as a group. I am really sorry that it changed this way, I liked Brass Eagles spot but, it is outta the way considering the dig and Mining Summit location. I Don't have the time to go back and forth and want to have cash for the weekend . So I will update this afternoon after I go there in person. I really want to make this happen a good group of us getting together can only be a good thing and I want to make it as enjoyable and fun as possible. I promise I wasn't procrastinating I just wanted to have all the details to give at one time and then ended up with the rug pulled out from under me.
