Ga, not until this post did I realize what your avatar is. That is the sweetest pipe I have ever seen. I bet you happily walked home in soiled pants that day, huh? I look at some of the things you guys have found and drool. How old is that pipe? Sure has great detail. Museum piece for sure!!

Is that it in your avatar? Sweeeeeet piece! Is it banded slate or rhyolite. I took a buddy of mine hunting with me over the summer and he found a banded slate pendant on immaculate shape. He doesn't even hunt artifacts. We had been out fishing, and on our way home, I ask him if he minded if I stopped to look over a site that had just been logged. He said sure, and that he had always wanted to look for artifacts, just never had. After about 5 minutes he came up to me asking what is this. I almost said nothing without even looking at what he had. That is the usual answer for a tag along. I almost fell out when I turned around. I have never found even a piece of one. He tried to give it to me, but I couldn't take it. No matter how sick it made me.

I was hoping to make banner on this one, not just for my sake but the fact that effigy's are quite rare to find. Oh Well!

Thanks Trev. I see 4 of my finds on there. The one I was really surprised me that didn't make it was my Bone Flute. These are very rare and I was surprised it didn't make it.

Have you ever tried to get a note out of it? I wander what it sounds like.

Oh yeah. it is very loud. I can't really "play" it, but it does whistle very loudly.

Wow awesome flute, I never got to find 1 ., I found this anchor pendant in two pieces, I had no clue what a banner was then but I think I should have almost got 1 ,lol

Great Post T, thank you for throwing mine in the mix. I second Steve's thought on the flute, I would have picked that as banner over a Clovis point. Don't get me wrong, Clovis are indeed rare but look how many have been found and made the banner.....several. I have seen only one flute, I too am surprised that it didn't make the cut.
