Lord have mercy! This will be the fourth time I've typed this entry in tonight! Sheesh! I must be tired. Here we go.. again..

Hi gang! I'm back! Finally got the computer/camera problems worked out but it would seem that that was only the tip of the iceberg so to speak. My computer had some serious problems going on behind that seemingly placid blue screen. <smirk> Long story short, I had to wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows XP due to missing and or damaged registry files and drivers. We're still recovering lost data, files and programs, but the good news is the new camera is working just fine with the computer now.. and I can finally share the pictures from my last hunt.
My last hunt was to a nearby town's "soccer complex" where as expected I found LOTS of clad.. and junk. Pulltabs out the whazoo! and other odds and ends, buttons, snaps etc etc. I did find only one silver coin, my second silver ever. I pulled a 1956 Roosevelt dime out of the dirt that day! SWEEET! I also found a name plate off of a horse's bridle. Did I mention that the soccer complex used to be part of a horse farm? No? Well anyway, the name plate has the horse's name on one side and it's sire and mare on the other. Pretty cool. Well, here are the pictures.. Enjoy!

Dude...You gotta love that feeling when you see silver looking back at you....In a place you didn't expect it to be!

Soccer fields are one of my favorite huntng grounds. There are allways lots to find, and it looks like you found quite a bit in that one. I'm surprised you didn't find any rings. That's where I find the most I have. Way to go and keep swinging.

Looks like you have found a good hunting spot. Producing quite a few finds.

Like the silver. Congrats.

Nice Rosie but I think that horse tag is the neatest find. My wifes family is from Lexington, and my brother-in-law still lives down there. He lives off Man'o War near Tates Creek. Me and one of my kids drove down and tried to hunt one of the old ferry landings down there but the itchy weeds were just insane. Im going to try and go back down there late fall/early winter. There is so much history down in KY,if you do some research and get some permissions you could really find some wonderful hunting grounds. We didnt really know any good spots to hit around Lexington so we hunted a couple of newer schools. My brother in law tells me he knows of an old fairgrounds he is going to show me. Maybe we could hunt together sometime if you are interested, not really sure when Ill be back down but we go stay down there for a few several times a year,HH...Shoot

Nice hunt and get finds especially the tag. I wish our soccer fields up here produced like yours. Nice to see the camera works and enjoy the posting.
