Camping's ok, parking's not

Went out to camp in the snow, which I can do with my eyes closed. Almost got set up, then stopped to eat supper. Here come the police and made me walk back up to the road in knee deep snow to tell me I couldn't park overnight in this area, due to snow removal operations. I was about 30 feet away from the road in a sort of turnout. He said I was more than welcome to camp there, but just couldn't park there. To late to head anywhere else, so I went to the house.

I lost the urge to go winter camping a loooong time ago.....But, there really is no place as peaceful and quiet as the deep woods covered in snow, now is there ?

Great pics. I've done alot of cold weather camping in Routt county Colorado, lots of fun. thanks for the view.

Poncho and a buck knife, that's camping. You're welcome any time double S, but I'll try to find a spot with a parking meter this time. Ole Goat is welcome too, but I wear way more clothes than he does.

Thats a bummer RGINN,but you did get some cool shots. As much as Ive been the out doors type, I have never tried that, sound fun

you know that everyday you renforce the idea of mine that
you are crazy...
and as far as me not wearing clothes, i am no farther than
the yard, and i get back in the house real soon.

go in file 13.. in other words its not gonna happen!!!

Ok why for ya go and camp in the winter for? Hunting? I know the Army made me do it in Alaska. But for fun? No way

Heck Frank, now it's ok to cuddle up to your Army buddy if it gets a little chilly. I'm sure rginn won't mind you borryin' a little heat offa him.

Your thinking Navy lol My Army buddies can get warm some other way I don't share my fart sack with anyone well no males anyhow. I learned in Alaska if you eat a candy bar just before getting in sleeping back the sugar increases your metabolism and makes ya produce heat. Every year just for the heck of it we would have to sleep out under the stars with just our sleeping bags and poncho's and if you were smart like me you had a poncho liner that went into your sleeping bag. But it had to be at leat 10 degree or colder ALL night long if it hit 11 degrees you went back out the next night.
