Thank you. I thought the second broken buckle might be from the 1600-1700's, but I thought the first was older for some reason. I thought I had some photos of a similar buckle that was also 16-1700's.

I think the first buckle is just a cheap harness buckle, I could be wrong, but the early ones are normally copper alloy or bronze . If SS or Cru chip in they may confirm or not. The second one is a nice find though :thumbsup:

You could be totally right, and probably are. I actually found that first buckle over a year ago and was just told about some finds that were made in that field including a cob. I also did pretty well there with early coppers, so I was just hoping. The second buckle (piece) was found today.
