Thanks so much for the quick feedback.. I won one on Ebay.. I hope we aren't getting ripped off. I only paid $574 shipped to my door.. Thanks Everyone.

Happy Hunting!

Yeap, four 9 Volts. The CZ 20 is a fine detector but Fisher isn't making them anymore nor repairing them. What I do is set Disc. at 0, Sens. at 7, Vol. at about what you can stand. It makes three tones and I only dig the middle tones which are pull tabs and gold rings. If I only hear silence for awhile, I check and make sure I still have it turned on.

Thanks so much for all your help guys. I really appreciate it.. I hope that when we come back from Georgia we have some pics to share of stuff we find.. Thanks Again...

Disregard Sandmans comment that Fisher no longer repairs CZ 20 detectors. I have two of them and just had one repaired under warranty. I have owned it for 6 years and the new owners only wanted a $25 fee to activate the lifetime warranty. Not only did they repair it to like new but it only took 7 days, door to Door from Hawaii. No one does better than that.

You had to pay a $25 fee to activate a lifetime warranty that you got for free when you bought it new from Fisher? If First Texas are now doing repair work on CZ20's again, good. There are a lot of people that were told it would cost large $$$ to get them fixed because the parts weren't available. I'll call them Monday and learn what the policy is now and get back to the forum with info. Thanx.........

Finally got through to Fishers for info on repairs to CZ20's Below is a copy of the email they sent me.

Yes, our repair department here at Fisher still does repair these units. If you are interested, please contact us at 915-225-0333 ext. 118 or 152 or toll free at 800-685-5050 ext. 118 or ext. 152. or you can remain in contact via email

Thank you
