one thing to keep in mind , much of what you see pics of have been cut to reveal the banding. There are as many shades of blue in the agate family as there are in the paint world. I have a 30 pound chunk of yellow jasper.... its not even yellow colored. It is green . but that is what it is and you only know after grinding the surface layer that the yellow is revealed. If you do facebook there is a group on there that has many of the top "specialists " on there. It is called Rocks , Fossils , and Minerals Identification. post your pics on there and they will tell you what it is ... they ID some amazing stuff. But a head up. Only post one thread about it on there , don't want to agitate them and try and remain as quiet as you can . Just let them post for a day or so , unless they ask. They remind me of school teachers.
