Welcome to TNet! Even enlarged, it's hard to make out.

Yeah I am having trouble figuring it out.....when I hold light to it and look at the shadows some of the letters pot out more. My wife and I are at a road block on this thing. Hopefully someone will recognize it. And thank you I am glad to be here now that my wife and I are getting into this full swing. :)

I think I see a COULAN... but is that a CO for company and then ULAN... as part of other words? Not sure. Could always try to match the letters you have and see if you can find something on this site 🤷🏻‍♂️

I reprocessed the image to see if the lettering could be more readable.

I spy the word standard so it is probably a British import one piece flat button that said standard colour or something like that....prob fro. 1820 1830

Can someone please help me identify this button? It was found in an area that was established in the very early 1800’s and once had a cheese factory on it. You may have to click the image and expand it to see the letters. Thanks!
Nice!!! Congrats!!!
