Can you age an Axe Head?

This pic is from this past Sun.,went lookin' for some CW find's....Not yet!....We went a little south down the Blue Ridge and came up with more "lumber" find's,wrong place!!!Chain alone weigh's close to 20#'s,couple piece's of shoe's and what look's like to be part of a bit maybe,not sure.Any info on this Axe head would be appreciated....Thank's
