I found this in Spain, on a beach in Alicante, i think its an awl tool, maybe for sewing shoes or fixing nets, i'm not sure. Its tip is very battered and sand stuck to it so am not sure if its even metal or a rock, though it does have rust on it. :icon_scratch:im wondering if i'm right and when and for what this could have been used. I would appreciate your insight.

Possibly the remains of a sail maker's fid or sewing awl?

It is what is left of the inside of a fishing lure. Find them on Long Island beaches all the time.
