Some serious thunderboomers running through Northeast Missouri/west central Illinois this evening. I can almost HEAR the rocks tumbling in the creeks with the floodwaters. I know where I'll be the next two days!!!

just had 75 mph winds go through here in st. louis alot of damage all around the mississippi valley. hope everyone is safe.

We had some really strong storms move through southern Ohio between 6:30 and 9:00 pm on Sunday evening. It's all quiet now. Lots of lightning and very heavy rain so I'll be hitting the fields as soon as I get off work in the morning.

Ahhhh...working nights....me too. I'll go home and sleep until about 10 then off to the creeks I go. We got a couple inches of rain so I'll pick a creek that has some grade to it...the flatter ones will be running a bit high for a day or so.

Sure hope no one got any flooding out of these rains....wouldn't wish that on anyone!!

water crested about 11 am, started going down about noon, was completely out of yard by 8pm. the stench was the worst part. smelled like dead worms for days. lost alot of power tools and personal stuff. funny thing. i fought the bank about getting flood insurance. they said it was mandatory. i was pissed to have to pay 100 extra a month, but then i was glad i had it when this happenend.
