can you name this rock?

[ccapriciouss]

All I really need is a name for this rock so I can look it up...This was one rock. I hit it a few times with a hammer, and this is what it became. I know it has druse, and some spots look like fossilized ferns but I don't think it is ferns. I found them outside of Las Vegas.

Picture #4 actually looks like wood grain so maybe petrified wood.

Petrified wood was my thought also.

Petrified wood. There is some petrified wood in the deserts near Vegas.

I shall name it Roger.

I'm not positive about this being petrified wood, but maybe it is Does look to possibly be a metamorphic type of rock also imo. Maybe post it in the rocks and minerals forum also?
