1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Tony13! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Those rocks look more like diorite than granite. Granite has 3 distinct minerals, quartz, mica, and feldspar. Here's a pic of diorite for comparison. Gary

Go over it with a detector, then try a small magnet in different spots, then microwave it, lol, jk, but it will rule out metal if there is any there.

It would be a massive miracle for a person to find gold or silver just like that. Like 1 in 2 billion chance?
